Hey Micheal for £1000 you can watch me isolate for 4 days, If I have to do it without the internet even more challenging for me!. But I'd prefer to be able to just literally have zero-conversations, game, focus on myself, meditate, sleep, eat, bathe, or think nothing during that time too....Should be bliss

I am constantly amazed when something I remember when it first came out turns out to be years ago. I watched the first moon landing live on TV when it happened. I remember when the You Tube channel "Objectivity" was first launched, and have followed it with interest with every new video. Yet, when I look at the dates I get the feeling that it can't have been that long ago! I get this all the time, especially since I retired last year and have the leisure to pay attention to these things. On Pipe Dream, I never thought it was real, but check out Wintergaten's Marble Machine. When I first started working, there was no such thing as a debit card. You had to carry cash, or write a check, and it was more convenient to carry cash. You could not pay your bills on line. You had to buy stamps, and write a check, or visit a pay center in person. Now, you just about can't do anything unless it's over the internet. Even going to the store, for most people you give them your card and the payment is processed over the internet with your payment details that way. The internet did not exist in it's current form back then. It was experimental, 1982 if you're wondering when I'm talking about. Just in the time from 1900 - 2000 we went from snail mail to email, from horse and buggy to cars and jet aircraft, from hand tools to power tools, from farm equipment pulled by horses or oxen to diesel powered tractors with air conditioning. Prior to that time, while there were changes, you really would not see that much at the end user level. I was born in 1962. Even for me looking around today, had you told my parents the year I was born what today would be like, they would have thought it was impossible. Another thing I've seen is with targeted advertising, and targeted videos, I frequently find myself feeling like I'm in an echo chamber. My own thoughts and ideas are often reflected back at me unless I do something to break out of that. Do a search that is completely off the wall, or very different from my usual patterns. This is something of a warning for you who read this. Don't be complacent about what you are being shown. Yes there's a lot of junk out there. Look things up that are not normally part of your pattern. Get yourself exposed to new ideas and don't just go with the same old same old. That is one of the dangers of the You Tube algorithm. They don't have enough randomness in it.

It's funny how the age of the people who feel like time passed faster, is where they usually have mid life crisis. I guess you feel like you're going to die tomorrow, and must do everything you missed through your whole life, which feels like nothing too. I think I'm already scared of getting older, and there is still 26 minutes of video left... shit.
